MSV-GB3-025 aims at 2026 with a major upgrade package
Major upgrade package for 2026 GB3 ChampionshipMotorSport Vision (MSV) will introduce an upgrade package for its Tatuus MSV GB3-025 cars ahead of the 2026 GB3 Championship season to provide both a significant performance boost and even better reliability.
Building on the first year of experience with the new GB3-025 car, MSV and Tatuus has worked closely with all the teams to understand how they would like the championship to evolve to further enhance its appeal.
The upgrade package includes a heavily revised engine, together with refinements to the chassis and aerodynamics. Testing and manufacture of new components is already underway.
The Engine The existing 2 litre 4 cylinder engine will be replaced by a new 2.4 litre Mountune built unit, designed to provide a substantial 25% increase in torque and also optimise reliability. As well as a new forged crankshaft, connecting rods and forged aluminium pistons, the cylinder head is of a completely new design. The current base of a standard OEM cast aluminium head is being replaced by an all-new CNC billet machined head made of high-grade aerospace aluminium. This will also feature new lightweight steel camshafts and the highest specification of valve gear. The new head will also include optimised porting, gas flow and a performance improvement, while the engine installation will be enhanced by a combination of improvements to the cam cover to cylinder head interface, and a revised A-frame setup to improve torsional rigidity.
Aero Kit & Chassis The cars will also benefit from a new aerodynamics package, resulting in efficiency gains, improved aero balance, extra downforce and less drag. Dedicated aerodynamic testing has already commenced with multiple runs at the class-leading Catesby Tunnel facility in Northamptonshire.
Chassis revisions to stiffen the rocker post mounting and stabilise the front deck have been designed and tested by Tatuus and chassis maker ARS, and a new bridge section is to be added inside all chassis over the winter to achieve this. The chassis keel will also be modified to be more resilient to kerb damage, ensuring any resulting repairs are less frequent and longer lasting.
Weight Reduction & Gearbox Weight reduction is also a feature of the upgrade package, with the exhaust, silencer, cooling system and the DRS and gear change components all benefiting from refinements.
Gearbox lubrication will be improved with a pumped oil injection system direct to the gear mesh point. Furthermore, gear life will be extended with improved surface treatment and finishing.
The 2026 prototype car will commence an on-track testing programme later in September and throughout October, during which additional refinements will be evaluated for addition to the upgrade package.

FRECA At the Red Bull Ring, Matteo De Palo (Trident Motorsport) won Race 1, cutting his gap to championship leader Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) down to just three points. In Race 2, Brazilian driver Pedro Clerot (Van Amersfoort Racing) took his second win of the year, showcasing the depth of competition in the field. The next round will be held in Barcelona on September 20, a date that could prove crucial in the battle for the crown.
F4 CEZ The third edition of the F4 CEZ concluded with Jenzer Motorsport celebrating a double triumph. The Swiss squad secured the teams’ title and crowned Argentine driver Gino Trappa as champion with 294 points, thanks to six wins and five second places across the season. Runner-up Max Karhan staged an impressive charge with 13 consecutive podiums since May, but it wasn’t enough to deny Trappa. The 2025 campaign once again underlined the growth of the Central European Formula 4, with the final round at Brno featuring a grid of 20 Tatuus T-421 cars.
Hoosier Formula Cup At Aragón, round four confirmed Nano Lopez (TS Corse) as the man to beat. A win in Race 2 kept him at the top of the standings, while Aaron Ferrazzano (Winfield Racing) stole the spotlight with victories in Race 1 and Race 3, moving up to fourth overall. The series returns on October 10 at Magny-Cours .
F4 SEA At Sepang, Alex Sawer (Evans GP) maintained his dominance with victories in Race 1 and Race 3, extending his lead to 295 points. Race 2 went to Seth Gilmore , who continues to hold second place in the standings. It was also a strong debut for Ferrari Driver Academy’s Niccolò Maccagnani (Pinnacle Motorsport) and Korean racer Kyuho Lee (Evans GP) , both scoring podium finishes across the weekend. The season finale, set again at Sepang on September 19, will crown the new champion of the series.

F1 Academy, British F4 and AU4: the Tatuus weekend debrief
From the European paddocks of Zandvoort and Donington to Sydney: a weekend packed with actionOvertakes and wheel-to-wheel battles across every category. From F1 Academy – racing in Zandvoort alongside Formula 1 – to the penultimate round of AU4 , and a surprising weekend in British F4 as the championship heads into its decisive final two rounds.
F1 Academy Among the Zandvoort dunes, it was the anthem of the home crowd that set the tone, as the Dutch drivers dominated from qualifying to the final race. The spotlight was on Maya Weug (Ferrari – MP Motorsport) , who first claimed pole position on Saturday morning with a margin of just 0.039s over Alisha Palmowski (Red Bull – Campos) , before starring in a thrilling comeback drive in Race 1 on Saturday afternoon. In the reverse-grid race won by fellow Dutch driver Nina Gademan (Alpine – Prema) , the Ferrari Driver Academy talent charged from eighth on the grid to secure third place at the flag, just behind Lia Block (Williams – ART GP) , who celebrated her maiden F1 Academy podium.
On Sunday morning, Weug made the most of her pole position, leading every lap to take victory ahead of Palmowski and Doriane Pin (Mercedes – Prema) . Pin still holds the overall championship lead, 20 points clear of Weug, with two rounds (four races) remaining.
Next stop: Singapore, October 3–5.
British F4 At Donington Park, the British F4 championship kicked off its final stretch of the season with three different winners across three races. Tommy Harfield (CDR) claimed his first victory of the year in Race 1, while Race 2 saw Australian Jimmy Piszcyk (Rodin) return to the top step after a ten-race drought. Race 3, however, wrote a new page in the series’ history: Belgian Dries Van Langendonck (Rodin) , part of the McLaren Development Programme, took victory on his single-seater debut, becoming the youngest race winner ever in British F4. Having turned 15 on Saturday – the minimum age required to compete – he immediately marked the occasion by claiming pole position, then converting it into a race win the following day.
In the standings, Fionn McLaughlin (Hitech) remains in the lead, 45.5 points ahead of Piszcyk . Next round: Silverstone, September 19–21.
AU4 The penultimate round of the Australian championship in Sydney saw Noah Killon (AGI Sport) take victories in Race 1 and Race 2, while Isaac McNeill (Volante Rosso) answered back by winning Race 3.
The title battle could not be closer: Killon now leads on 237 points, with McNeill just one point behind at 236 – setting up a thrilling season finale, once again at Sydney Motorsport Park.

From the UK to Australia and the Netherlands, it’s set to be an action-packed weekend for Tatuus single-seaters, with decisive battles across three key championshipsBritish F4 The British Formula 4 championship is back in action at Donington Park , one of the UK’s most prestigious motorsport venues. Irish rising star Fionn McLaughlin , racing with Hitech TGR , still leads the drivers’ standings and is also carrying his team to the top of the team championship. Engineering and design “Designing a new single-seater is a challenging process that brings great satisfaction. The young Australian now holds a commanding 71-point lead in the championship with just two rounds remaining. The weekend also saw Enzo Tarnvanichkul (VRD Racing) claim his first win of the year and reigning F1 Academy champion Abbi Pulling secure her first podium. The Tatuus-powered championships continue with another action-packed weekend split between the UK and Slovakia. GB3 and GB4 return to the legendary Brands Hatch circuit, while F4 CEZ heads to the Slovakia Ring for the penultimate round of its season.GB3 At Brands Hatch , GB3 gets underway on Saturday at 14:45 BST with Race 1 . Weekend debrief - rising stars and race winners across the UK, Australia and Mexico
A weekend full of challenges, podium battles and new protagonists in the Tatuus-powered junior series.British F4 In the British series, Hitech TGR once again took the spotlight thanks to Fionn McLaughlin ’s win in Race 1 ahead of his teammate Thomas Bearman and Rowan Campbell-Pilling (JHR Developments) . Race 2 went to Adam Al Azhari (Rodin Motorsport) , followed by Tommy Harfield (Chris Dittmann Racing) and August Raber (Phinsys by Argenti) . The weekend wrapped up with Campbell-Pilling taking victory in Race 3, with Bearman (Hitech TGR) second and Ary Bansal (Fortec Motorsport) third.
With these results, Hitech TGR stays firmly on top of the team standings with 332 points, while McLaughlin strengthens his lead in the drivers’ championship. The series will be back in action on August 30th at Donington Park for the third-to-last round of the season.
AU4 At Phillip Island, Noah Killion (AGI Sport) delivered a standout performance, winning both Race 1 and Race 3. The only interruption to his streak came in Race 2, where fellow Australian Isaac McNeill (Volante Rosso Motorsport) took the top step of the podium.

F4 NACAM The fourth round of the season produced three different winners. Race 1 went to American rookie Vivek Kanthan on his debut with Alessandros Silver . His teammate Alejandro Bobadilla claimed his first victory in Race 2, while Marco Alquicira (Santinel Racing Team) celebrated his maiden win of the season in Race 3.
After a short break, the championship resumes on September 19th at the Autódromo Miguel E. Abed in Puebla.
