Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) Meanwhile, in Germany, the Hockenheimring hosts one of the most intense weekends of the FRECA season. Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) and Matteo De Palo (Trident) share the championship lead at 226 points apiece, while Enzo Deligny (R-ace GP) and Pedro Clerot (Van Amersfoort Racing) remain firmly in contention with 198 points. AU4 and Formula 4 Brazil: Tatuus Weekend Debrief
Season finale in Australia and the first half of a back-to-back weekend at Velo Città for F4 BrazilTwo championships took the stage over the weekend, both racing under the spring sun of the Southern Hemisphere. The AU4 Championship crowned the first champion in its history, while F4 Brazil roared back into action at Mogi Guaçu after a break dating back to July 20.
F4 Brasil Heitor Dall’Agnol (TMG Racing) retained the championship lead despite missing out on victory, collecting a fourth, a third, and a second place across the three races of the weekend at Velo Città. Murilo Rocha (Starrett Bassani) also secured a double podium (third in Race 1 and Race 3), though he remains 56 points adrift in the standings. The three available wins were evenly spread across the teams, with Filippo Fiorentino (TMG), Rogerio Grotta (Cavaleiro), and Pedro Lima (Starrett Bassani) each taking a victory.
This was the first half of a back-to-back at Velo Città, with the T-421 cars of F4 Brazil returning to the track next weekend for the second showdown.
AU4 The AU4 season came to a close in Sydney, with Noah Killon (AGI Sport) sealing the title in style by claiming all three race victories—topping it off with a celebratory moonwalk on the chassis of his T-421.
All of his closest rivals stepped onto the podium across the weekend: Isaac McNeill (Volante Rosso), Harrison Duske (Tim Macrow Racing), and Imogen Radburn (AGI Sport), who after taking part in the F1 Academy Rookie Test on September 17–18, wrapped up her AU4 season in fourth place overall.

MSV-GB3-025 aims at 2026 with a major upgrade package
Major upgrade package for 2026 GB3 ChampionshipMotorSport Vision (MSV) will introduce an upgrade package for its Tatuus MSV GB3-025 cars ahead of the 2026 GB3 Championship season to provide both a significant performance boost and even better reliability.
Building on the first year of experience with the new GB3-025 car, MSV and Tatuus has worked closely with all the teams to understand how they would like the championship to evolve to further enhance its appeal.
The upgrade package includes a heavily revised engine, together with refinements to the chassis and aerodynamics. Testing and manufacture of new components is already underway.
The Engine The existing 2 litre 4 cylinder engine will be replaced by a new 2.4 litre Mountune built unit, designed to provide a substantial 25% increase in torque and also optimise reliability. As well as a new forged crankshaft, connecting rods and forged aluminium pistons, the cylinder head is of a completely new design. The current base of a standard OEM cast aluminium head is being replaced by an all-new CNC billet machined head made of high-grade aerospace aluminium. This will also feature new lightweight steel camshafts and the highest specification of valve gear. The new head will also include optimised porting, gas flow and a performance improvement, while the engine installation will be enhanced by a combination of improvements to the cam cover to cylinder head interface, and a revised A-frame setup to improve torsional rigidity.
Aero Kit & Chassis The cars will also benefit from a new aerodynamics package, resulting in efficiency gains, improved aero balance, extra downforce and less drag. Dedicated aerodynamic testing has already commenced with multiple runs at the class-leading Catesby Tunnel facility in Northamptonshire.
Chassis revisions to stiffen the rocker post mounting and stabilise the front deck have been designed and tested by Tatuus and chassis maker ARS, and a new bridge section is to be added inside all chassis over the winter to achieve this. The chassis keel will also be modified to be more resilient to kerb damage, ensuring any resulting repairs are less frequent and longer lasting.
Weight Reduction & Gearbox Weight reduction is also a feature of the upgrade package, with the exhaust, silencer, cooling system and the DRS and gear change components all benefiting from refinements.
Gearbox lubrication will be improved with a pumped oil injection system direct to the gear mesh point. Furthermore, gear life will be extended with improved surface treatment and finishing.
The 2026 prototype car will commence an on-track testing programme later in September and throughout October, during which additional refinements will be evaluated for addition to the upgrade package.

FRECA At the Red Bull Ring, Matteo De Palo (Trident Motorsport) won Race 1, cutting his gap to championship leader Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) down to just three points. In Race 2, Brazilian driver Pedro Clerot (Van Amersfoort Racing) took his second win of the year, showcasing the depth of competition in the field. The next round will be held in Barcelona on September 20, a date that could prove crucial in the battle for the crown.
F4 CEZ The third edition of the F4 CEZ concluded with Jenzer Motorsport celebrating a double triumph. The Swiss squad secured the teams’ title and crowned Argentine driver Gino Trappa as champion with 294 points, thanks to six wins and five second places across the season. Runner-up Max Karhan staged an impressive charge with 13 consecutive podiums since May, but it wasn’t enough to deny Trappa. The 2025 campaign once again underlined the growth of the Central European Formula 4, with the final round at Brno featuring a grid of 20 Tatuus T-421 cars.
Hoosier Formula Cup At Aragón, round four confirmed Nano Lopez (TS Corse) as the man to beat. A win in Race 2 kept him at the top of the standings, while Aaron Ferrazzano (Winfield Racing) stole the spotlight with victories in Race 1 and Race 3, moving up to fourth overall. The series returns on October 10 at Magny-Cours .
F4 SEA At Sepang, Alex Sawer (Evans GP) maintained his dominance with victories in Race 1 and Race 3, extending his lead to 295 points. Race 2 went to Seth Gilmore , who continues to hold second place in the standings. It was also a strong debut for Ferrari Driver Academy’s Niccolò Maccagnani (Pinnacle Motorsport) and Korean racer Kyuho Lee (Evans GP) , both scoring podium finishes across the weekend. The season finale, set again at Sepang on September 19, will crown the new champion of the series.
