Eurocup-3 and USF Pro Championships: Weekend Recap
From Assen to Portland, a weekend of close racing and championship finales Two major events in the world of junior single-seaters once again put Tatuus race cars in the spotlight — from the Eurocup-3 round at Assen to the season finale of the USF championships in Portland.Eurocup-3 At the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, home team MP Motorsport enjoyed a weekend to remember, celebrating a double podium with two Italian talents. In Race 1, Valerio Rinicella claimed the top step, continuing his strong form, while in Race 2 it was Mattia Colnaghi’s turn to match the result, giving the Dutch squad a second reason to celebrate in front of their fans. The series will resume at Spa-Francorchamps on September 4.
USF Pro Championships In Portland, Oregon, the USF season came to a close across all categories. Against the backdrop of the IndyCar Grand Prix, titles went to Max Garcia (USF Pro 2000), Jack Jeffers (USF 2000), and Leonardo Escorpioni (USF Juniors). The final round wrapped up a season marked by a packed schedule and fierce competition, reaffirming the USF Series as a key proving ground for up-and-coming drivers.

USF Pro Championships: A Thrilling and Successful 2025 Season
After the final round in Portland, the story of an exciting season163 days, from February 28 to August 10. Over this period, spanning 24 weekends, the 2025 USF Pro Championships hosted 22 rounds : 8 for USF Pro 2000 and USF2000 (always sharing the track) and 6 for USF Juniors.
As tradition dictates, with most events sharing the paddock with the IndyCar Series , each category delivered hard-fought races and shake-ups in the overall standings, across a calendar that once again showcased its most iconic rounds: jewels in the crown of American motorsport, starting from the Streets of St. Petersburg, Florida , and shining brightest in the month of May at Indianapolis .
USF Pro 2000 The season opened with a fierce rivalry between Alessandro De Tullio (Turn 3) and Max Garcia (Pabst) , who shared the spoils in the first two rounds at St. Pete and NOLA. The Indianapolis month saw Ariel Elkin (TJ Speed) shine, claiming two wins out of three at the Indy GP weekend and also taking victory at the most fascinating event of the year – the oval at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park . From that point, Elkin emerged as Garcia’s main challenger, but the latter went on an unstoppable run from the next round onward, securing 7 wins in 9 races between Road America, Mid-Ohio, Toronto, and Portland. His title was sealed in Toronto, with one round to spare, leaving the fight for second place to Elkin (who ultimately claimed it), De Tullio, and Mac Clark (Exclusive Autosport) – the latter enjoying a remarkably consistent season with 11 podiums, though missing the satisfaction of a race win.
USF 2000 In the sister category, the first two rounds seemed to have already set the tone for the season, thanks to Liam McNeilly’s (Jay Howard) five consecutive wins. The twist came at the Indy GP, when the British driver was unable to race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway due to circumstances beyond his control, which also kept him out of the subsequent rounds. A brand-new season effectively began, with a balanced three-way fight between Jack Jeffers (Exclusive Autosport), Teddy Musella (VRD), and Thomas Schrage (VRD) , who shared most of the available points over the next three rounds – with the sole exception of the Freedom 75 on the Indy oval, won by Anthony Martella (Jay Howard) . From Mid-Ohio onward, Jeffers shifted into high gear and never stepped off the podium (5 wins and 3 second places), clinching the overall title in the final round at Portland.
USF Juniors Fourteen podium finishes (including 6 wins) in 16 races – a perfect trajectory to secure the entry level of the “Road to Indy” ladder. The driver? Leonardo Escorpioni (Zanella Racing) , who sealed the title in Race 2 at Portland with one round to spare. His only rival able to challenge him up to that point was Liam Loiacono (Jay Howard) , who had reignited the title battle in mid-summer with 5 wins out of 6 races spanning the Mid-Ohio doubleheader and Road America.
Eyes on 2026 For the three tiers of this fascinating American series – and for the three Tatuus models powering the many teams – it’s now time for the offseason. The traditional “Fall Combine” tests at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October will be the next opportunity to hit the track and prepare for what promises to be another rich and thrilling 2026 season.

The USF Pro Championships season finale in Portland and EC-3 in Assen: the Tatuus racing weekend
A double highlight for Tatuus this weekend with the closing round of the USF Pro Championships and Round 5 of Eurocup-3.From the streets of St. Petersburg (FL) to the curves of Portland (OR), the USF Pro Championships season comes to an end after more than six months of intense racing, with one title already sealed and two still to be decided. USF Pro 2000 Max Garcia (Pabst) has already claimed the championship title, thanks to an impressive seven wins and four additional podium finishes so far. But the fight for second place remains open: Ariel Elkin (315 points) leads Mac Clark (312) by just two points, with Alessandro De Tullio , winner of the season opener in St. Petersburg, close behind at 302. The teams’ championship is already decided as well, with Pabst Racing crowned winners.
Weekend schedule: Thursday testing, Friday qualifying, Race 1 on Saturday at 10:20 AM (PDT), and Race 2 on Sunday at 2:50 PM (PDT).
USF 2000 Jack Jeffers (Exclusive Autosport) heads into the final three races with four consecutive wins and a 52-point lead over Thomas Schrage (VRD) . The team standings mirror the drivers’ battle, with Exclusive Autosport leading VRD by 11 points.
The weekend kicks off Thursday with two testing sessions, continuing into Friday morning. Qualifying is scheduled for 12:10 PM (PDT), followed by Race 1 at 5:50 PM (PDT). Race 2 and Race 3 will take place on Saturday (3:25 PM) and Sunday (3:55 PM), respectively.
USF Juniors The title fight between Leonardo Escorpioni (Zanella Racing, 310 points) and Liam Loiacono (Jay Howard, 296 points) is coming to its thrilling conclusion. Loiacono enters the weekend with five wins in the last six races, while Escorpioni has only missed the podium twice all season (Race 3 at NOLA and Race 1 at Road America). In the teams’ standings, Zanella Racing holds a strong lead (366 points) over VRD (286).
The weekend kicks off with three test sessions between Thursday and Friday, followed by qualifying at 11:30 AM (PDT) on Friday. Race 1 is also set for Friday (4:55 PM), while Saturday will feature Race 2 (4:30 PM) and Race 3 (6:30 PM).
Eurocup-3 The EC-3 heads to Assen , with testing and free practice on Friday. Saturday features Qualifying 1 (8:28 AM CEST) and Race 1 (11:43 AM CEST), with the same format repeated on Sunday: Qualifying 2 at 8:31 AM and Race 2 at 11:10 AM.

FRECA, F4, GB3 and GB4: Tatuus Leads the Way Between Imola and Silverstone

In the drivers’ standings, Freddie Slater (Prema Racing) continues to lead with 187 points, followed closely by Matteo De Palo (Trident) on 170. Among teams, Prema Racing holds the lead with 277 points, but R-ace GP , thanks to their double win this weekend, is now just five points behind (272 pts). Next round: Red Bull Ring, September 6–7.
Italian F4 The Italian Formula 4 Championship also raced at Imola in a weekend full of drama. Gabriel Gomez (US Racing) claimed Race 1, but Race 2 was cancelled following a major crash at the start involving more than 10 cars, which immediately triggered a red flag. Race 3 was won by Oleksandr Bondarev (Prema Racing) . In the standings, Nakamura-Berta (Prema Racing) stays in the lead with 246 points. Despite not winning this weekend, he secured two podiums. Behind him are Gomez (US Racing, 191 pts) and Sebastian Wheldon (Prema Racing, 155 pts) . The championship takes a short break before returning to the track in Barcelona, September 19–21.
GB3 and GB4 The prestigious Silverstone round brought thrilling action and plenty of content, with a true “domination” played out on the Tatuus Instagram channel, where all the emotions of the weekend can be relived.
GB3 The GB3 Championship saw three different winners at Silverstone: Alex Ninovic (Rodin Motorsport) won Race 1, Keanu Al Azhari (Hitech TGR) claimed Race 2, and Gianmarco Pradel (Rodin Motorsport) took victory in Race 3. In the overall standings, Ninovic leads with 288 points , followed by Patrick Heuzenroeder (Xcel Motorsport, 249 pts) and Pradel (242 pts ).
GB4 In the GB4 Championship , Jack Taylor (Fortec Motorsport) delivered an impressive double win in Races 1 and 2. Stefan Bostandjiev (Pace Performance) won Race 3. Daniel Guinchard (Hillspeed) leads the drivers’ standings with 293 points, followed by Ary Bansal and Isaac Phelps (both with Elite Motorsport) . Next round for both GB3 and GB4: Brands Hatch, August 23–24.

Freddie Slater (Prema) comes into the weekend leading the standings, following three consecutive wins and holding a 20-point advantage over Matteo De Palo (Trident). The weekend begins with Race 1 on Saturday at 16:45, followed by Race 2 on Sunday at 14:05 (CEST). Both races will be streamed live on the championship’s official YouTube channel .Italian F4 Sharing the paddock with FRECA, the Italian Formula 4 Championship is also in action at Imola. All eyes are on Kean Nakamura-Berta, who has built a significant lead in the standings. His rivals will look to close the gap across three races this weekend. GB4 Also racing at Silverstone, the GB4 grid will compete in three races across the weekend. The action starts with Race 1 on Saturday at 12:20. USF Juniors, British F4, and F4 CEZ: another international weekend for Tatuus single-seaters Three major championships in the junior formula landscape once again saw Tatuus cars take center stage across three circuits in the United States and Europe.British F4 The Zandvoort circuit hosted the sixth round of the British F4 season. Three different winners emerged from the weekend’s races: Martin Molnár (Virtuosi Racing) won Race 1 , Ary Bansa l (Fortec Motorsport) took Race 2 , and Fionn McLaughlin (Hitech TGR) claimed victory in Race 3. The fight at the top between Molnár and McLaughlin remains intense. The next round will take place at Knockhill in Scotland from August 15–17.
USF Juniors A flawless weekend for Liam Loiacono (Jay Howard Driver Development), who dominated all three races at Road America in the penultimate round of the season. Strong results also came from Rodrigo Gonzalez (DEForce Racing), second in Race 1 , and Leonardo Escorpioni (Zanella Racing), who finished second in Races 2 and 3. Loiacono now has four consecutive wins and is closing in on Escorpioni in the overall standings. The title fight will be decided next week at the season finale in Portland.
F4 CEZ The fourth round of the F4 CEZ took place at Most , Czech Republic. Gino Trappa (Jenzer Motorsport) claimed two wins, bringing his season total to five and his podium finishes to ten out of twelve races. His teammate Javier Herrera won Race 3 , while Max Karhan scored three podiums (twice third, second in Race 3), confirming himself as the only realistic challenger to Trappa in the standings (237 to 183 points). Also making it to the podium were Nicolas Cortes (Jenzer) and Simon Schranz (Renauer Motorsport). The championship continues at Slovakia Ring , August 22–24, before the final round at Brno, September 5–7.
