Five championships on track with open standings, Italian duels, season finales, and long-awaited comebacks


Eurocup-3

At Spa-Francorchamps, the battle continues between the two Italians of MP Motorsport: Mattia Colnaghi, leader with 177 points, and Valerio Rinicella, second at 165.

In the team standings, the Dutch squad leads with 368 points, ahead of Spain’s Campos (225). Race 1 is scheduled for Saturday at 14:30 CEST, Race 2 at 18:30 CEST. Live streams on the championship’s YouTube channel.



FRECA

The seventh round of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine brings Tatuus cars to the Red Bull Ring. Championship leader Freddie Slater (Prema Racing, 186 points) is followed closely by Matteo De Palo (Trident Motorsport, 170 points).

In the team battle, Prema Racing and R-Ace GP remain neck-and-neck. Race 1 is set for Saturday at 12:55 CEST, Race 2 for Sunday at 15:05 CEST, both live on FRECA’s official YouTube channel.



F4 CEZ

Final round of the F4 Central European Zone at Brno, where the title will be decided.

Gino Trappa leads with 266 points, chased by Max Karhan on 231. Three races are scheduled: Saturday at 11:25 CEST, Sunday at 10:10 and 15:00 CEST. Live on F4 CEZ’s YouTube channel.



Hoosier Formula Cup

After the summer break, the Hoosier Formula Cup returns at Motorland. Hugh Barter (Winfield Racing) tops the standings, followed by Nano López (TS Corse). Race 1 is Saturday at 19:25 CEST, Race 2 Sunday at 09:00 CEST, and Race 3 at 11:20 CEST. All live on Ultimate Cup’s YouTube channel.



F4 SEA

In Malaysia, Sepang hosts the fourth and penultimate round of F4 South East Asia. Alex Sawer (Evans GP) leads ahead of teammate Seth Gilmore. Race 1 takes place Saturday at 15:50 MYT, with Race 2 Sunday at 10:00 MYT and Race 3 at 16:35 MYT. Live on the official channel.

MSV-GB3-025 aims at 2026 with a major upgrade package

Major upgrade package for 2026 GB3 Championship

MotorSport Vision (MSV) will introduce an upgrade package for its Tatuus MSV GB3-025 cars ahead of the 2026 GB3 Championship season to provide both a significant performance boost and even better reliability.
Building on the first year of experience with the new GB3-025 car, MSV and Tatuus has worked closely with all the teams to understand how they would like the championship to evolve to further enhance its appeal.
The upgrade package includes a heavily revised engine, together with refinements to the chassis and aerodynamics. Testing and manufacture of new components is already underway.
The Engine The existing 2 litre 4 cylinder engine will be replaced by a new 2.4 litre Mountune built unit, designed to provide a substantial 25% increase in torque and also optimise reliability. As well as a new forged crankshaft, connecting rods and forged aluminium pistons, the cylinder head is of a completely new design. The current base of a standard OEM cast aluminium head is being replaced by an all-new CNC billet machined head made of high-grade aerospace aluminium. This will also feature new lightweight steel camshafts and the highest specification of valve gear. The new head will also include optimised porting, gas flow and a performance improvement, while the engine installation will be enhanced by a combination of improvements to the cam cover to cylinder head interface, and a revised A-frame setup to improve torsional rigidity.

Aero Kit & Chassis The cars will also benefit from a new aerodynamics package, resulting in efficiency gains, improved aero balance, extra downforce and less drag. Dedicated aerodynamic testing has already commenced with multiple runs at the class-leading Catesby Tunnel facility in Northamptonshire.
Chassis revisions to stiffen the rocker post mounting and stabilise the front deck have been designed and tested by Tatuus and chassis maker ARS, and a new bridge section is to be added inside all chassis over the winter to achieve this. The chassis keel will also be modified to be more resilient to kerb damage, ensuring any resulting repairs are less frequent and longer lasting.
Weight Reduction & Gearbox Weight reduction is also a feature of the upgrade package, with the exhaust, silencer, cooling system and the DRS and gear change components all benefiting from refinements.
Gearbox lubrication will be improved with a pumped oil injection system direct to the gear mesh point. Furthermore, gear life will be extended with improved surface treatment and finishing.
The 2026 prototype car will commence an on-track testing programme later in September and throughout October, during which additional refinements will be evaluated for addition to the upgrade package. [...]

Speaking on Radio Sportiva, CEO Giovanni Delfino touched on several key aspects of Tatuus and the Group’s activities, ranging from its wide array of engineering projects to its commitment to the F1 Academy, and moving on to the safety and the Group’s overall structure.

Engineering and design “Designing a new single-seater is a challenging process that brings great satisfaction. Tatuus operates in a segment with a clear mission: to foster the discovery and development of talent. Designing cars that serve this purpose is complex, because it requires a constant pursuit of the perfect balance, ensuring that every driver can showcase and nurture their skills. The performance of each car and each ATM engine powering them must be identical, allowing drivers to prove themselves and compete solely based on their abilities.
For Tatuus, this is highly stimulating not only in the design phase, but also once the cars hit the track, when the constant analysis of data allows us to follow, step by step, the growth of hundreds of young talents every year. It is a true privilege to see them progress from our single-seaters all the way to the pinnacle of Formula 1. In fact, 19 out of 20 current F1 drivers have raced in one of our cars during their career path.”

F1 Academy "The question often arises: will we see a female driver who grew up in F1 Academy one day driving a Formula 1 car? Many still struggle to imagine this happening today, but 10 years ago, no one could have imagined an Italian tennis player at the top of the world rankings either.
This is not about miracles, but about paths built on hard work: the same hard work the F1 Academy drivers are putting in today. It’s both a technical and physical effort, paired with the natural talent these girls have. And with their immense courage, as shown by the spectacular moves they perform on track.”

Safety in racing “Formula 4 and Formula Regional are categories where drivers gain their first real experience. This brings them to face every situation on track with great enthusiasm and boldness. We see them racing on the world’s most iconic circuits, arriving at legendary and challenging corners with four, five, or even six cars side by side. Clearly, this creates risks – and for us, it means the responsibility of designing the safest possible product. Not by chance, our cars are homologated according to the strictest standards in motorsport, with loads and procedures identical to those required in the top categories.
The desire to stand out can lead to spectacular accidents, but our job is to ensure that, thanks to the quality of our cars, drivers come out of these situations unharmed.”

Among the most anticipated events on the Italian motorsport and automotive calendar, the 2025 edition of the Motor Valley Fest officially kicked off on the morning of Thursday, June 5th, in Modena. Exhibitions, events, and a series of talks and insights brought four days of racing passion to the heart of the city, away from the track.
Just after the opening conference, it was already time to dive into passion, racing, and competition with the panel “Racing & Innovation”, which featured Tatuus Group CEO Giovanni Delfino among its key speakers.

Tatuus and the Group’s key role in the racing landscape “We are a Group aiming to create an ecosystem in Italy, bringing together various niches of the Italian motorsport world in order to produce a complete and integrated product. This synergy allows us to achieve efficiency right from the start, when a product is being conceived. Pairing chassis, engine, safety devices and everything else needed from the very first moment—when a new set of regulations is released—is, for us, a major advantage in terms of efficiency. 
Thanks to these processes Tatuus has become a global reference point in the design, production and sale of race cars that guide drivers through the upper tiers of the motorsport ladder.
I often remind those who work with and for us how challenging it is to design and build a car that includes all the safety systems of top-tier championships—particularly in terms of loads and homologation processes—at a cost and price that we cannot freely set as they follow precise international regulations.
This is a technological challenge: for us, sustainability means building this kind of car using cutting-edge technologies and processes, meeting homologation requirements, in the shortest possible time and at the lowest possible cost.
We must bring to the track everything needed to protect and nurture drivers in a highly competitive environment. The design phase is crucial to ensuring optimal safety and performance."

The Group and the financial environment “The Group’s integration strategy was originally envisioned by Tatuus President Gianfranco De Bellis. Thanks to his vision, several key partners have joined a far-reaching project. The entrepreneur’s true insight lies in understanding the right moment to bring in capital to support the growth of new projects.
You have to learn to speak a common language with the financial world and be structurally prepared for growth, while also developing long-term business strategies.
The COVID pandemic brought everything to a halt and forced us to choose between stopping or boosting on our investment. That moment of potential crisis, however, gave birth to major innovations—such as the ATM V6 engine. It was a financial risk, but pure R&D: a leap of faith that led to something new."
F1 Academy “This represents a major visibility boost for us: I’ll never stop thanking Susie Wolff and Stefano Domenicali for believing in us. This is a championship that supports Formula 1 at seven events, and in this era of communication, it has given us presence on countless platforms where we were not previously visible. Being side by side with the top tier of motorsport is a source of pride for an Italian Group that now travels the world with F1."

The time has come: the MSV-GB3-025 is ready for its debut!

The wait is finally over: the GB3 Championship and the all-new MSV-GB3-025 are ready to hit the track!

From the moment the first sketches of the MSV-GB3-025 were drawn, the countdown began. A process that evolved through multiple project stages, accelerating with excitement in October 2024 when the very first car rolled out of the Tatuus HQ. From then on, the wait took on a new form — a countdown to the first official sessions, marked by test days, driver announcements, and livery reveals. Now, just a few steps remain before the anticipation gives way to the thrill of the first qualifying session and the season’s opening three races.
Silverstone will serve as the perfect stage for the new model’s debut this weekend, featuring 25 cars on the grid, a roster of top-tier talent, and many new highlights for the series.

A new DRS challenge The opening races of the new car will also mark a historic first : the competitive debut of Drag Reduction System (DRS) on a Tatuus single-seater.
During qualifying, drivers will be allowed unlimited DRS use within the permitted zones. In races, however, DRS activation will be restricted to instances when the gap to the car ahead is less than one second, as measured at specific detection points. At Silverstone, those detection zones will be placed at Maggotts and Village, activating DRS on the Hangar and Wellington straights respectively.

10 teams, plenty of talent Two new teams join an already elite paddock, forming a highly competitive grid set to battle it out on some of Europe’s most iconic circuits.

The calendar The schedule and venues are another major novelty of the upcoming season. The 2025 GB3 Championship will feature 8 rounds and 24 races: half on Britain’s legendary circuits , the other half on some of Europe’s most prestigious tracks . The grand finale, set for October 18-19 at Autodromo di Monza , promises a unique and symbolic close to the season.
Here are all the 2025 dates:

Weekend Format Each race weekend will begin with testing or free practice , followed by a qualifying session split into two 15-minute segments, separated by a 5-minute break. These will determine the grids for Race 1 and Race 2 respectively. Race 3 will once again feature the popular reverse-grid format: the top 12 from Qualifying 2 will be reversed, while positions 13 onward remain unchanged.
All three races will run for 25 minutes.

The Prizes The top five drivers in the final championship standings will receive FIA Super Licence points — with 10 points going to the champion.
The Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup returns once again: every pole will earn £300, with an additional £2,000 and a trophy awarded to the driver with the most poles over the season.
Finally, the Omologato "One to Watch Award" will reward the driver who scores the most points across Races 1 and 2 each weekend.
