Hockenheim, Brno and Puebla: three venues, with titles decided, victories celebrated and new protagonists emerging.




The weekend brought together three very different racing scenarios, united by one common element: Tatuus cars once again took centre stage in Formula Regional and Formula 4. From Hockenheim to Brno and Puebla, the title battles followed different paths, with important victories, new protagonists and championships both decided and still open.




FREC



The 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship could hardly have produced a more closely fought finale. At Hockenheim, venue for the eighth and final round of the season, the Drivers’ Championship was still contested by four protagonists: Emanuele Olivieri (R-ace GP), Kean Nakamura-Berta (PREMA Racing), Sebastian Wheldon (MP Motorsport) and Rashid Al Dhaheri (R-ace GP).



The first verdict of the weekend came with Jan Przyrowski’s (RPM) victory in Race 1. It was the Polish driver’s first success of the season and made him the first Polish winner in the history of the category. Kean Nakamura-Berta and Rashid Al Dhaheri joined him on the podium, while Emanuele Olivieri retained the championship lead ahead of the final race.



All the pressure was therefore concentrated on Sunday. Wheldon secured pole position, with Nakamura-Berta alongside him and Olivieri starting from the second row, while Al Dhaheri lined up 13th. The MP Motorsport driver took the lead at the start and held it until the chequered flag, claiming his fourth victory of the season, more than any other driver in the championship.



Behind him, Olivieri found the pace and position needed to finish second and secure the title. At just 18 years old, the R-ace GP driver completed a season already made even more significant by his Rookie Championship success at Imola. Olivieri finished ahead of Wheldon and Nakamura-Berta, becoming only the second Italian in history to win the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, following in the footsteps of Kimi Antonelli.



The result at Hockenheim meant even more for R-ace GP. The team had already secured the Teams’ Championship after the opening race of the weekend and, with Olivieri’s title, completed a historic clean sweep. For the first time in its history, the team won the Drivers’, Teams’ and Rookie Championships in the same season.



This was how the Tatuus T-326 brought its first FIA Formula Regional European Championship season to a close: 17 races, 11 different winners and a title fight that remained open until the final round, before one team ultimately claimed all three available championships.




F4 CEZ



The penultimate round of the 2026 F4 Central European Zone season, held at Autodrom Brno, further strengthened Elia Weiss’ (Jenzer Motorsport) position at the top of the standings and confirmed Jenzer Motorsport’s particularly strong form. The team won all four races of the weekend, with Weiss taking two victories, while Theo Borenstein and Georgiy Zasov added one win each.




Weiss opened and closed the weekend on the top step of the podium. In Race 1, the Jenzer driver started from third and quickly moved into the lead, finishing ahead of teammate Max Karhan (Jenzer Motorsport) and Simon Rechenmacher (Cram Motorsport). His second victory came in Race 4, this time from pole position, with Weiss leading Borenstein and Karhan while also setting the fastest lap.



Between Weiss’ two wins came victories for Borenstein and Zasov. The Czech driver claimed Race 2 at his home circuit, holding off Karhan throughout the race and completing an all-Jenzer podium alongside teammate Markas Silkunas. For Zasov, meanwhile, Brno delivered his first F4 CEZ victory of the season. Starting from pole in Race 3, he maintained the lead to the finish despite constant pressure from Weiss, who crossed the line just 0.310 seconds behind.



Brno represented another important step towards the title for Weiss. With two victories added to his tally, the Jenzer driver moved to 299 points and extended his advantage over Borenstein to 42 points. Karhan remains third with 240 points.



The Rookie classification is also still open, with Markas Silkunas leading Rechenmacher and Zasov. With just one round remaining, Brno therefore left several important battles unresolved.



Standings:



- Elia Weiss (Jenzer Motorsport) – 299 points

- Theo Borenstein (Jenzer Motorsport) – 247 points

- Max Karhan (Jenzer Motorsport) – 240 points



The 2026 season will conclude at the Hungaroring at the end of October, where the final F4 CEZ titles will be decided.




F4 NACAM



The Puebla weekend gave fresh momentum to the F4 NACAM title battle, with Alex Bobadilla (Alessandros Racing) still leading the standings but Alan Zezatti (Alessandros Racing) closing the gap.



Zezatti claimed both pole position and victory in Race 1, beating Bobadilla and Mariano Alatorre to complete an all-Alessandros Racing podium. The following two races produced two more winners: Oliver Trejo secured his second victory of the season in Race 2, while Alatorre claimed his first win of the year in Race 3.



Bobadilla now holds a 46-point advantage over Zezatti, while Trejo sits third, 95 points behind the championship leader.



At the wheel of the Tatuus T-421, the championship protagonists added another chapter to the 2026 season, with the title battle remaining open ahead of the next round.

Weekend Preview: Brno, Hockenheim and Puebla Write the Next Chapters of the Tatuus Season
From the penultimate round of the F4 CEZ to the FREC finale, via a new round of NACAM, Tatuus cars are preparing for a race weekend spread across three very different venues.


Each event brings something different: for some, it is time to defend an advantage; for others, an opportunity to reshuffle the order, while others can seize the chance to take a step forward and build momentum in their respective campaigns. From F4 CEZ to FREC and F4 NACAM, the upcoming weekend will once again bring together very different championships and racing environments, all featuring Tatuus single-seaters on track.


FREC

Hockenheim will host the final round of the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship, with four drivers still in contention for the title. On the 4.574 km German circuit, the final 56 points of the season will be up for grabs, with Emanuele Olivieri (R-ace GP) leading the standings, Sebastian Wheldon (MP Motorsport) 20 points behind, Kean Nakamura-Berta (PREMA Racing) 25 points off the lead and Rashid Al Dhaheri (R-ace GP) 35 points adrift.

Olivieri’s position is the result of a season built primarily on consistency. The Italian driver has scored eight podiums in the 17 races held so far, including two wins, five second-place finishes and one third place. His victory at Imola, his second of the season after Monza, also allowed him to secure the Rookie title one round early.

Behind him, Wheldon has built his campaign around three victories, two of which came in the same weekend at Zandvoort, along with a win at Paul Ricard. Nakamura-Berta has also claimed three victories and led the standings before the Imola round, while Al Dhaheri occupied the top spot midway through the season before adding his third win in Hungary.

The picture remains particularly open when looking at the championship as a whole: five different drivers have led the standings and there have been no fewer than ten different race winners across the 17 races held. Among them is Oleksandr Bondarev (Van Amersfoort Racing) , who converted pole position into victory on his category debut at Imola. The Ukrainian driver will be back on the grid at Hockenheim, while Reno Francot (CL Motorsport), Salim Hanna (PREMA Racing), Alexandre Munoz (ART Grand Prix), Maksimilian Popov (Trident Motorsport) and Yuki Sano (R-ace GP) complete the list of race winners this season.

Hockenheim will also decide the Team Trophy title, with R-ace GP holding a 106-point advantage over MP Motorsport. It will therefore be the final chapter of a season that has seen the Tatuus T-326 make its first appearance in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship, taking on the category’s major European events.

F4 CEZ

The fifth round of the 2026 season brings the Tatuus T-421 to Autodrom Brno for the penultimate round of the F4 Central European Zone Championship. With 150 points still available between Brno and the season finale at the Hungaroring, the championship remains open to several possible scenarios, starting at the top of the standings.

The top four drivers, from Elia Weiss (Jenzer Motorsport) to Max Karkhan (Jenzer Motorsport) , are separated by just 45 points. Adding further interest to the picture is the fact that five different drivers have won at least one race so far: Weiss has claimed six victories during the season, three of them in the latest round at Autodrom Most. Alongside him, David Walther (Maffi Racing) and Theo Borenstein (Jenzer Motorsport) have each scored three wins, Karhan has two, while Simon Rechenmacher (Cram Motorsport) secured his first championship victory at Slovakia Ring. And the mathematics widens the group even further: nine drivers can still fight for the title.

The size of the entry list also makes Brno a particularly busy event, with the provisional list featuring 36 cars. Free Practice and Qualifying will therefore be split into two groups, while the weekend will feature four races on the 5.4 km circuit.

In the Women’s Trophy, Mathilda Paatz (Mathilda Racing) and Ella Häkkinen (Jenzer Motorsport) are separated by just seven points, while Jenzer Motorsport leads the Teams’ Championship.

F4 NACAM
The Mexico Super Fan will be the next stop on the NACAM Formula 4 Championship calendar, with the series heading to the Autodromo Miguel E. Abed in Amozoc, Puebla, this weekend.

At the wheel of the Tatuus T-421, Alex Bobadilla, Alan Zezatti, Oliver Trejo, Alex Popow Jr. and Fernando Rivera are preparing for a new challenge at the Mexican circuit, with Bobadilla so far showing the most consistent form and therefore emerging as the benchmark of the group.

The young drivers will have two opportunities to fight for victory during Saturday’s programme.

The FIA has officially confirmed the adoption of Tatuus single-seaters for the 2026 Formula Regional and Formula 4 World Cups.
Tatuus cars, already competing in national and regional championships around the world, will once again take center stage on the prestigious streets of Macau for the FIA Formula Regional World Cup and FIA Formula 4 World Cup. From 19 to 22 November, 13 teams in Formula Regional and 12 teams in Formula 4 will battle on the iconic Guia Circuit. For the T-326 , this will mark its debut in Macau, following the T-318's appearances in the Formula Regional World Cup in 2024 and 2025. For the T-421 , it will be a welcome return after making its Macau debut in the Formula 4 World Cup in 2023.

The CEO of Tatuus, ATM – Autotecnica Motori, and the Korus Group was featured in an interview published today in la Repubblica and written by Irene Saderini. During the conversation, he reflected on some of the most important and defining moments of his career, while also sharing his views on several aspects of the global motorsport industry.

A Personal Journey A central theme of the interview is the CEO’s personal story, which began with his decision to pursue engineering studies and continued through a career marked by bold choices and decisive moments: “I don’t believe in luck; I believe in being able to seize it. When an opportunity comes your way, you have to recognize it. That said, it would be unfair to claim I wasn’t fortunate. I joined the company when I had virtually nothing. The founder allowed me to repay my debt over time, and I only finished paying the last installments two or three years ago.”
Delfino also spoke about his early years at Alfa Corse, where he developed his passion for experimentation and performance engineering: “At heart, I am a track engineer. I worked in the testing departments, where our job was to find that extra half horsepower from a finished product. My first experiences came in Alfa Romeo Touring Cars, with drivers such as Giovanardi, Tarquini and Larini competing against BMW and Mercedes. Sometimes those extra two horsepower were what won you the race.”

Formula 4 and Driver Development Among the key topics discussed was the production of Formula racing cars and engines, today one of the cornerstones of the Korus Group: “Everything starts with studying the regulations, which always leave room for interpretation—and success comes from finding the right one.” Speaking about Formula 4 engines, Delfino explained: “It all starts with a four-cylinder Fiat 500 Abarth unit. It must cost less than €16,500 due to the price cap and last 10,000 kilometres. My objective is to ensure that every engine performs the same.” The reward is seeing young talents progress step by step through the motorsport ladder and ultimately reach the highest levels of the sport: “It was particularly rewarding to see Andrea Kimi Antonelli begin his career in one of our cars.”

The Motorsport Industry The interview also included a broader reflection on the remarkable momentum motorsport is experiencing worldwide: “Motorsport sometimes works like a kind of magic, capable of overcoming marketing logic and keeping alive that uniquely Italian determination to believe in something even when the numbers don’t add up.”
Particularly representative of the Korus Group’s vision was Delfino’s perspective on internal combustion and electric powertrains: “For me, the smell of a winning engine is the smell of gasoline, hard work and sacrifice. A twelve-cylinder engine on track is like a violin—actually, an entire orchestra of violins. Racing is my world, and I find it difficult to see any of that emotion in batteries alone. Hybrid technology, however, is a different story. We are part of the FIA working group on the new regulations, and I find the hybrid approach very compelling.”

Tatuus Celebrates the 500th T-421, the World’s Most Widely Used Formula 4 Car
The Lainate-based manufacturer has celebrated the production and delivery of the 500th chassis of the single-seater on which Kimi Antonelli and Arvid Lindblad developed their careers.

Born in 2021, the Tatuus T-421 reached its 500th unit produced and delivered in May 2026, once again confirming its status as one of the most manufactured and successful racing single-seaters worldwide. The milestone was celebrated by the Lainate-based brand together with all its employees and the sister companies of the Korus group, which contribute daily to the T-421 project: ATM–Autotecnica Motori, Breda Racing, and Next Solution Technologies.
Today, the T-421 is the most widely used Formula 4 car in the world, competing across 16 championships spanning Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Oceania. Behind its wheel, some of the most exciting talents in contemporary motorsport have developed, including Kimi Antonelli and Arvid Lindblad , who built the first steps of their single-seater careers in the second-generation Tatuus F4 before progressing all the way to the pinnacle of Formula 1.
“The 500th T-421 is not only a major milestone for Tatuus, but also an important achievement for the entire international motorsport ecosystem,” said Giovanni Delfino, CEO of Tatuus and the Korus Group. “With the introduction of Formula 4 in 2014, the FIA created a new pathway between karting and single-seaters, enabling drivers to arrive better prepared for higher categories. This model has established itself through years of significant growth in motorsport, during which many championships were launched and expanded, now reaching grids of nearly 50 cars per round with the second generation we celebrate today. These are figures that were difficult to imagine at the beginning of this journey, but which now define the everyday reality of many of the companies within the Korus Group.”
“Throughout Tatuus’ history, many of our models have achieved widespread adoption across global championships and have demonstrated unparalleled driver development capabilities,” added Gianfranco De Bellis, President of Tatuus and the Korus group. “The T-421 is writing an important chapter in the history of our brand and, together with the first-generation car, is now approaching 800 units produced. These volumes allow us to aim toward the milestone of 1,000 F4 single-seaters, a figure previously approached by the various Formula Renault models that marked a turning point in our history and in the development path of many drivers.”
As the second generation of Formula 4 single-seaters, the T-421 succeeded the T-014, which from 2014—the year Formula 4 was introduced—through 2021 was produced in just under 300 units. It represented the ideal platform for drivers transitioning from karting to single-seaters, and helped develop talents such as Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Max Verstappen, Isack Hadjar, Liam Lawson, Lance Stroll, Oliver Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Franco Colapinto.
The T-421 is just one of many examples of the cooperation that makes the Korus group one of the leading global ecosystems in motorsport engineering. The companies within the Group involved in the celebration have contributed to the project from day one, within a consolidated model of synergies that each year gives rise to new cars, powertrains, and solutions for motorsport.
Specifically, ATM–Autotecnica Motori developed and supplies the Abarth-derived inline four-cylinder engine that powers the car, while Breda Racing is responsible for a large portion of the components—such as the halo and suspension arms—as well as instrumentation required for managing the cars both on track and at HQ. Next Solution Technologies provides a significant part of the car’s electronic and electromechanical systems, in addition to supplying steering wheels and rain lights.
However, the milestone of 500 cars does not represent a finishing point for Tatuus. Production of the current model will continue through 2028 , when FIA regulations foresee the introduction of the third-generation car , on which the brands of the Korus Group are already actively working.
