Misano, Brands Hatch and Indianapolis deliver iconic racing in every kind of weather
Another action-packed weekend brought four of the main Tatuus categories together across Europe and the United States, with changing conditions, close racing and the first key reference points of the season taking shape.
The Formula 4 Italian Championship opened its 2026 campaign at Misano with a record-breaking grid, British F4 completed its second round at Brands Hatch, while the USF Pro Championships headlined the Tatuus Indianapolis GP on the infield road course of the iconic Motor Speedway.
Three legendary venues, a total of 118 Tatuus cars on track, and nearly 30 entries per championship on average, underlining once again the strength of the global junior single-seater ladder and the crucial role these categories play in driver development.
Formula 4 Italian Championship
Misano traditionally hosts the opening green lights of Italian F4, but 2026 raised the bar even higher. After last year’s already impressive entry list of 41 cars, ACI Sport and WSK Promotion delivered a record 48-car grid for the season opener, spread across four races and an extremely competitive field.
Prema Racing showed strong overall consistency throughout the weekend, while Alp Aksoy emerged from Misano as championship leader thanks to two victories and a third-place finish. Niccolò Maccagnani (Prema) and Luka Sammalisto (US Racing) also took wins in Race 2 and Race 3, respectively.
Podium finishes were shared across several teams, with David Cosma Cristofor (Prema), Ary Bansal (US Racing), David Walther (Maffi Racing) and Oleksandr Bondarev (Prema) all stepping onto the rostrum during a weekend that constantly reshaped the competitive order.
After just one round, Aksoy leads the standings ahead of Maccagnani and Cosma Cristofor.

British F4
Brands Hatch hosted Round 2 of the British F4 season, with mixed conditions and varied strategies playing a decisive role throughout the weekend.
Ethan Jeff-Hall (Argenti Motorsport) opened the event with a Race 1 win built through strong mid-race pace, finishing ahead of Adam Al Azhari (Hitech) and Tommy Harfield (Chris Dittmann Racing).
Sunday brought more challenging track conditions. Jarrett Clark (Virtuosi Racing) took control of Race 2 in the reverse grid encounter, while Jaber Al Sabah (Xcel Motorsport) secured both his first Rookie Cup win and first overall podium finish, ahead of Cash Felber (Fortec Motorsport).
Race 3 saw Dries Van Langendonck (Rodin Motorsport, McLaren Racing livery) execute a key strategic call during the formation lap, switching to slick tyres and launching a decisive recovery drive through the field. Kit Belofsky (Fortec Motorsport) followed with a strong second-place finish, while Cole Hewetson (Xcel Motorsport) completed the podium.
British F4 now takes a short break before returning to action at Snetterton on May 23–24.

USF Pro 2000
At Indianapolis Motor Speedway, USF Pro 2000 kicked off the Month of May with the Tatuus Indianapolis GP on the legendary infield road course, just weeks ahead of the Indianapolis 500.
Race 1 demanded strong strategic awareness as the track evolved from mixed to fully dry conditions, with Jacob Douglas mastering the timing of the transition to secure victory.
Race 2 produced a long and intense fight for the win between Jack Jeffers (Exclusive Autosport) and Frankie Mossman (VRD Racing), with multiple position changes throughout the race before Jeffers ultimately came out on top in a tightly contested finish.
The podium ceremonies were led by Tatuus President and COO Gianfranco and Leonardo De Bellis.
The next stop for USF Pro 2000 will be the Carb Night Classic on May 21–22 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, the traditional night race ahead of the Indy 500.
